About Adidas

Adidas AG is a German sports clothes manufacturer and parent organization of the Adidas Group, which is composed of the Reebok sporting clothing company, golfing company, and Rockport. Besides sports footwear, the company also produces other products like bags, shirts, watches, eye glasses and other sports and clothing-related products. The company is the biggest sporting clothing manufacturer in Europe and the second largest sports clothing manufacturer globally after its American rival Nike. Adidas was set up in 1948 by Adolf “Adi” Dassler, following the split of Gebrder Dassler Schuhfabrik between him and his bigger brother, Rudolf. Rudolf later established Puma, which was the early rival of Adidas. Registered in 1949, Adidas is presently based in Herzogenaurach, Germany, with Puma. The organization’s clothing and shoe designs usually feature 3 parallel bars, and the same motif is amalgamated into Adidas’s current official logo.
